About the Author

The author is an avid climber and mountaineer who has spent the last 10 years seeking out new and exciting places to explore. Working only part time in a ‘normal job’ she has been able to spend a reasonable percentage of each year abroad climbing, mountaineering and skiing. These expeditions have taken her to a variety of climbing Mecca’s across Europe, America and North Africa and other areas as far flung as Thailand and Australia.

Through years of planning and organising expeditions abroad, it became evident that the vast amounts of information gathered through research, prior to going and in-country, could be useful to other people.

This e-book has been written with a personal touch but it is certainly not a diary of a holiday. It is written in an informative manner, packed with essential and useful information in a relaxed style that is easy to read.

The author makes no claims to be an authority on new routes in the area or to have developed new crags. The e-book is an honest and accurate detailed account of climbing in Squamish and the logistics involved with climbing and travelling there. The idea is to give the reader an invaluable in-country insight before leaving home.
